Last Goodbye

Every day is the same old thing,

Seeing you with her makes my heart sting.

The way your eyes look at her with desire,

I feel as though my whole world is on fire.

I love you

Those three words didn't mean a thing.

I thought we were meant to be,

But I guess it was just a fling.

Thinking of you made me feel so blue,

for you love her, and I'm in love with you.

The light is gone and dark is back,

Cover me in endless black.

My mind always told me to leave and advance,

But my heart told me that I still have a chance.

So I listened to my heart and gave it a shot,

I'm left with scars upon my broken heart.

Go on now, if you must; I'll get along;

How much it hurts, I don't want you to know.

I'll set you free without inducing guilt,

But as you leave, the silent tears will flow.

Some people just aren't meant to stay in our lives forever,

So I decided to write you this final letter.

I know that you will never reply,

Because this is where I finally say goodbye.
